The Winter Creek Flowers Story

Last year, my husband and I made the move from our small flower farm to Melbourne's beautiful bayside. From the moment we arrived, I fell in love with everything about it - the beaches, the relaxed rhythm of life, the welcoming community.

But I also missed the ease of wandering outside to cut fresh blooms whenever I wanted to create an arrangement, or surprise a friend with a handpicked bouquet.

Instead, I began buying flowers from local florists, and while their shops are absolutely wonderful, I realised their focus is naturally on finished arrangements. Not supplying stems for home floristry and floral design enthusiasts. And so, I began visiting my flower-farming friends in the Macedon Ranges to buy fresh blooms for the designs I wanted to create for myself. It was during those visits, driving up the Calder Freeway, that an idea began to form: what if I could bring DIY bloom buckets to bayside, so that other flower lovers could enjoy creating their own designs using stunning Australian-grown flowers and foliage?

Eventually, I shared the idea with my farmer friends, asking if they'd like to come on this journey with me. Their enthusiasm was instant and genuine, and encouraged me to bring this small business dream to life.

Now, I'm working with wonderful local growers and flower wholesalers to bring fresh, seasonal flowers straight to floral enthusiasts across the bayside region of Melbourne, and it brings me so much joy to be making this possible.
