Frequently asked questions

Are your flowers sustainably grown?


Yes! This is very important to us. Our flowers are grown without toxic chemicals, spray-free, in-season and using sustainble growing methods. We hand weed and never use synthetic pesticides or herbicides on our flower crops. Instead we use natural weed and pest control methods when necessary, complimentary planting practices and good old-fashioned vigilance - the earlier we see a problem, the easier it is to fix it!




Do you sell fresh lavender?


Yes. Our lavender is available in late December and again in early/mid March. Please sign up to our email community if you'd like to know when it's ready, and to keep up to date with our other news.




Do you sell dried lavender?


Yes - both dried lavender bunches and lavender buds {for craft and therapeutic use only. Not for culinary use}




What varieties or lavender do you grow?


Winter Creek farm grows several types of lavender: * Grosso * Lavender Super * Lavender Bee {short stemmed} * Riverina Thomas * Riverina James {known as "Florists Choice" due to its beautiful, long slender flowers}




Can I visit the farm?


Please make an appointment if you would like to visit. This is a family farm and we're not open to the public without prior notice. Thank you for your understanding. How do I order from Winter Creek?

Do you hold workshops?


Yes! Winter Creek Flowers offers a range of immersive workshops based around the beautiful flowers grown sustainably at our micro-flower-farm or sourced from other local growers. These include nature and horticultural therapy, floral arrangement, wreaths and other flower-related activities.




Do you ship products outside of Australia?


Unfortunately, no. Due to trade and quarantine restrictions, we do not currently ship physical products outside of Australia. Thank you for your understanding.




Do you charge for postage?


We charge a flat fee of $10 for postage and handling within Australia.




COVID-19


Winter Creek Flowers places the highest priority on protecting the health and wellbeing of our customers and workshop attendees. Our farm and studio are low-traffic space and are not open to the general public. Social distancing is enforced all times. The studio is regularly deep cleaned and disinfected. Hand sanitisation is required on entering the space. All items such as vases, buckets and floristry kits are thorougly cleaned with soap and water and/or oxybleach and wiped down with disinfectant prior to use. Flowers are sourced from my own flower farm or from local growers in regional Victoria. Wrapping paper and ribbons are not used until at least two weeks after purchase. If you have any queries about our practices then please don't hesitate to get in touch.
